"Are you sad my friend? Pray." This is what St Josemaria recommends to the sad. Meditation is the term we use to refer to the guided reflection each one makes towards a personal conversation with God. A priest develops certain considerations on a particular topic.
During the meditation, lights are usually turned down to facilitate deep thought and attentive contemplation, fruitful personal reflection, and that personal conversation with God. We talk to God confidently, sincerely and unhurriedly, bringing to him our joys, sorrows, struggles, feelings, dreams, anything and everything.
